Princess Ashi Chimi Yangzom Wangchuck of Bhutan was born 10 January 1980 as the daughter of the King  Jigme Singye Wangchuck of Bhutan & Queen Mother Ashi Tshering Pem of Bhutan {Source}. She has two younger full siblings and several half siblings{Source}:

Like her siblings, she has an extensive educational background. She spent her early years in Bhutan, before moving to the United States for University. She earned a bachelor's degree with majors in International Relationions and Economics from Wellesley College{Source}. She earned a master's degree in public administration from Columbia University{Source}.

She married Dasho Sangay Wangchuck on 13 October 2005{Source}. She and her husband reside in New York, where he is currently completeing his master's degree in public adminstration and global affairs at Columbia University {Source}.

She is currently 5th in succession for the Bhutanese throne, however, with the upcoming birth of her nephew in the spring of 2016, she will move down to 6th place.
