Princess Stéphanie Marie Claudine Christine, Hereditary Grand Duchess of Luxembourg was born 18 February 1984 in Belgium as the youngest of seven children of Count Philippe de Lannoy and the late Countess Alix della Faille Leverghem de Lannoy {Source}. She attended College Sainte-Odile in France for two years {Source}.She completed her primary education at l'Institut de la Vierge Fidèle à Bruxelles{Source}.Princess Stéphanie spent a year in Russia, where she studied Russian Language and Literature{Source}.She obtained a Bachelors in Arts degree in Germanic Philology from the Catholic University of Leuven, with honors{Source}.After graduation, she moved to Germany, where she studied the influences of German romanticism on Russian romanticism {Source}.Upon her return to Belgium, she interned at an investment fund company {Source}.Also while in Germany, she completed an internship at the Walloon Export Agency at the Belgian Embassy {Source}.
