On Tuesday, he attended a cocktail party held at the Prince's Palace, where he unveiled the commemorative stamp created for the 100 years of the creation of the IAAF {Photo}. On Saturday, he visited the historical village of Baux de Provence in southern Francwhere he visited a new photo exhibition entitled, D'un Rocher à L'autre, organized by the magazine Paris Match in honor of his late mother, Princess Grace{Source}{Photos}.

The purpose of the visit is to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Prince Albert II's first official visit to Baux de Provence where he received the keys to the village in 1982.

 On Friday, after the shooting in Auroa, CO USA, the palace released a statement from Prince Albert to President Obama expressing his sympathy for the situation. The statement read as follows:
Mr President,
With immense sadness I learned of the tragic slaughter which happened last night in a cinema close to Denver.
I wish to express my deepest condolences and sympathy, that of my Family and of the population of the Principality of Monaco, to the families of the victims. Our thoughts, prayers and compassion are with those who are injured.
Please be assured, Mr President, of our sense of profound solidarity in these atrocious circumstances.
