The Recap of The Royals You Love: July 9-15

Belgium

-King Albert II held an audience with Prime Minister, Mr. Elio di Rupo, at Château de Laeken on Monday.After they met, the king and the prime minister met with Belgian athletes who recently won the gold medal in the Men's 4 x 400 Meters Relay Race during the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki, Finland {Photos}.

-Princess Mathilde visited the ‘Vlaamse Diabetes Vereniging’ (Flemish Diabetes Association) in Gent, Belgium on Thursday {Photos}

Denmark

-Queen Margrethe II &  Prince Henrik  arrived at Aabenraa Havn (port) via the royal yacht Dannebrog to begin their summer holiday at Gråsten Slot on Tuesday {Photos}. On Thursday, they hosted a garden party at Gråsten Palace for representatives of local businesses, culture, and politics.

Great Britain


-Queen Elizabeth met with French President Francois Hollande at Windsor Castle on Tuesday {Photos}.

-Queen Elizabeth & Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh met with the Olympic Torch Bearers while they passed through  Windsor Castle on Tuesday {Photos}. On Wednesday, they began the diamond Jubilee tour of the Midlands {Video}{Photos}{Photos}


-Prince Charles of Wales & Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall visited Prince William, Duke of Cambridge at RAF Valley in Wales on Monday during their tour of Wales {Photos}. Also during their tour, they attended a serivce of Thanksgiving in St. Asaph to celebrate the city's new status and met with representatives from various community groups and local businesses and opened the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre. On Tuesday, they visited Beacon {Photos}
  
-Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall & Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge had a private tea while their husbands toured RAF Valley.

-Prince Andrew, Duke of York & Princess Beatrice of York attended Princess Eugenie's graduation ceremony from Newcastle University on Wednesday.

-Princess Eugenie of York earned a 2:1 in her degree of English Literature and History of Art from Newcastle University on Wednesday {Source}{Photos}.

Japan

-Prince Mikasa was amitted  to a hospital in Toyko after he "...experienced congestive heart failure Saturday"  and he "...was moved to the intensive care unit, where he remained conscious but largely unresponsive" {Source}. Prince Mikasa is presently 5th in line for the Imperial Throne.

Monaco


-Prince Albert attended the Official Opening of our EXTRA LARGE Exhibition at the Grimaldi Forum on Thursday {Photos}


-Prince Albert & Princess Charlene visited Germany at the begining of the week. See here for a full report. On Wednesday, they met with Monégasque Atheletes that will represent Monaco in London in a few weeks {Photos}{Video (Germany visit at :054,presentation of the Monaco athletes at 7:30)}

-Princess Stephanie attended the Fight AIDS Monaco Gala Concert on Monday {Photos}


-Camille Marie Kelly Gottlieb celebrated her 14th birthday on Sunday.

-King Mohammed VI &  Princess Lalla Salma celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary on Thursday.

The Netherlands

-Queen Beatrix offiically closed the Maasvlakte 2 seawall on Wednesday {Photos}

-Prince Mohammed bin Saud passed away at the age of 78 on July 8th.

-King Juan Carlos I   attended an annual meeting with the Board of Trustees from the Fundación Carolina at Zarzuela Palace on Tuesday {Source}

-Queen Sofia resided over the presentation of La Vuelta Junior Cofidis 2012 held at the Consejo Superior de Deportes in Madrid on Tuesday  {Source}.On Wednesday, she atended the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Comisión de Protección de los Derechos de los Animales (Committee of Protection of the Rights of Animals) of the Colegio de Abogados de Barcelona{Source}.

-Princess Letizia of Asturias attended the final day of the 22nd Congreso Bienal de la European Association for Cancer Research (EACR22) on Tuesday {Photos}  {Source}.

-King Carl XVI, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle, Prince Carl Phillip & Princess Madeleine participated in Victoria Day on Saturday to celebrate Crown Princess Victoria's 35th birthday on Saturday {Photos}{Photos}{Photos}
