Royal Profile: Tatiana Santo Domingo
Tatiana Santo Domingo was born 24 November 1983, in New York, NY USA the daughter of the late Colombian businessman Julio Mario Santo Domingo, Jr. and Brazilian socialite Vera Rechulski. She has one brother, Julio Santo Domingo III. Her father was a member of the Columbian business family (aka the Kennedys of Columbia), The Santo Domingos, he died in October 2009 after a battle with cancer. Her mother is Brazilian, Vera Rechulski, who is a lover of Indian culture, she has a boutique in Paris that sells Indian antiques.
She spent her childhood in Switzerland. She attended top schools in Switzerland and France. She attended the American University of Paris, earning a bachelors degree in Art History in 2007. Then she attended The New School, in New York, NY earning a Masters degree in Art History in 2010. She speaks fluent English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French.
Tatiana has followed her mother's fashion botique footsteps, creating Muzungu Sisters in 2011 with her friend Dana. Muzungu Sisters is a brand of ethically sourced, handmade clothing and accessories launched in 2011 by Dana Alikhani and Tatiana Santo Domingo, two friends who share a life-long passion for travel. We source all of our products with extreme diligence and care, to ensure that no human footprint is left at their origin and to maintain the welfare, craft and industry of the artisans producing them.
Tatiana was a friend of Andrea's sister Charlotte for several years before she began dating Charlotte's older brother in 2004. She was often seen attending Charlotte's equestrian events in 2001-2003-ish. Since 2004, the pair, Andrea and Tatiana, has piratically been insuperable. The pair has been spotted at numerous Monaco Rose Balls (2006), Grand Prix de Monaco (2012), among other events together. The pair also attended Prince Albert's 2011 wedding together (Am I the only one seeing them MISERABLE and like they are being forced to go together?).
