She has several royal relations. She is a grandchild of Admiral of the Fleet the 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma, which makes her a distant cousin of The Duke of Edinburgh but she is also a second cousin 1x removed of Queen Elizabeth II.

She was educated in England. She earned her BA Hons degree from the University of Kent, gained CQSW qualifications from Goldsmiths University, London and earned a certificate in Mandarin Language from the Beijing Language Institute{Source}.

After recieving her degrees, she began a career as a social worker working at a senior level in health serivces, children's services, adult social care and affordable housing. She is currently a non-executive director of several organizations, including Chair of the The Guinness Partnership {Source}. 

As for her personally life, she was once a potential match for her second cousin, The Prince of Wales {Source}.  However, that match was not meant to be. She eventually went on to marry  Charles Vincent Ellingworth on 31 October 1987 {Source}. Together, they have three sons{Source}
