His father died in a speedboat accident when he was six years old.

His godparents were:
In order to give him a normal life, his mother requested that he not be made a prince at birth by his grandfather.

He began his education in Monaco at Les Dames St. Maur. When his father died when he was six years old, his mother moved him and his younger siblings to their farmhouse just outside of Paris, in St. Remey-de-Provence, where he attended local schools. He obtained the international baccalaureate from The International School of Paris in December 2002, after failing the spring version in June 2002. He briefly attended McGill University, before attending the American University of Paris. He earned a degree in Visual arts and international politics from AUP. In September 2007, he began to study at The New School, earning a masters in international affairs in 2009.

He is active in civic affairs as well. Since 2004, Casiraghi has been involved, to varying degrees, with the World Association of Children's Friends (AMADE).He spent eight months teaching children in Senegal, Togo, and Niger. In August 2006, Casiraghi took his involvement deeper and paid a very serious visit to Manila on behalf of a joint venture of AMADE and the Virlanie Foundation. He is also a Vice President of The Monaco Yacht Club {Source}Since 2007, he has been the patron of the Motrice Foundation, which funds research into cerebral palsy. Casiraghi sponsored the Hospices de Beaune charity auction that was held in November 2009. Casiraghi regularly attends important social events in Monaco related to the Monegasque Princely Family, such as the National Day and the Thanksgiving Day celebrations, the Rose Ball and the Formula One competition Monaco Grand Prix. In 2011, Casiraghi and his siblings Charlotte and Pierre hosted Monaco's annual Rose Ball, in the absence of Prince Albert, Princess Caroline and Princess Stéphanie who were mourning the death of their aunt Princess Antoinette, Baroness of Massy, a few days earlier. Casiraghi gave the speech at the start of the event and the trio left immediately afterwards. The same year, he attended the wedding of his uncle Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock, which took place on 1 and 2 July 2011.

He is fluent in several languages including French, English, Italian and some German. He likes to horse back ride, play water sports, play football, and ski.

In recent years, he has dated various women, most recently and the longest relationship has been with Tatiana Santo Domingo, however I strongly believe they broke up sometime in 2010 and he has been part of an idiotic press sham for years.

Because of his position and social status, he has often been a paparazzi target, often making the tabloids for various unfortunate circumstances. In 2011, he had his license suspended for 5 months after getting caught speeding and recklessly driving in France {Source}.

He mostly resides in Paris, but is often in Monaco. He is an avid fan of AS Monaco FC and Club Atletico de Madrid. He has a close relationship with his paternal grandmother, Fernanda Casiraghi.
