Her maternal grandparents are Princess Marie Gabriele of Luxembourg, Dowager Countess of Holstein-Ledreborg and Knud Johan Ludvig, Lensgreve Holstein til Ledreborg. Through her father she is a great-niece of Queen Anne of Romania & King Mihai I of Romania...her grandfather, Prince Michel, was Queen Anne's brother.


She grew up in Denmark, France and the United States.
