Royal Profile: Prince Félix of Luxembourg

Prince Félix Léopold Marie Guillaume of Luxembourg was born 3 June 1984 as the 2nd child of Prince Henri, Hereditary Grand Duke & Princess Maria Teresa, Hereditary Grand Duchess {Source}. He has four siblings, three brothers and a sister, as well as two sister-in-laws and two nephews:

The young Prince was primarily educated in Luxembourg, Switzerland, Belgium and England {Source}. He studied at Lorentzweiler for his primary education, before moving on to study atÉcole Privée Notre Dame (Sainte-Sophie) de Luxembourg {Source}. He continued his education at the American School o Luxembourg before rounding out his compulsory education at Collège Alpin International Beau Soleil {Source}.He received his school leaving certificate with distinction in 2003{Source}. Upon completing his primary education, the young prince began to attend Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in Great Britain, but left due to health reasons {Source}. In 2009, he began attending university in Italy, studying Bioethics, he earned his degree in 2011 {Source}.

Upon leaving Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, he gained experiences in areas of study like political science, communication, and psychology, while he attended schools in England and Belgium{Source}. Prince Felix also worked as a trainee in various private companies in order to broaden his professional experience {Source}.In 2005, he became part of a marketing and public relations department for a Swiss company that specializes in organizing sports and cultural events {Source}. Currently, he is following in his first cousin 1x removed, Prince Robert of Luxemburg's footsteps with running a vineyard{Source}. Alongside his wife, he currently runs the vineyard Château les Crostes in France{Source}. Prince Félix is taking his role managing the estate seriously and has been taking oenology classes to deepen his understanding of wine {Source}.

In addition to Luxembourgish, he speaks fluent French, English and German. {Source}.He has also studied Spanish and Italian{Source}.

On 13 December 2012, the grand ducal household confirmed Prince Félix's engagement to Claire Lademacher {Source}.The civil wedding took place on 17 September 2013 in Königstein im Taunus, Germany {Source} A religious ceremony followed on 21 September in the Basilica of Sainte Marie-Madeleine in Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, France {Source}. On 14 January 2014, it was announced that the couple is expecting their first child in June 2014 {Source}. Together, they now have two children{Source}:
